Comfrey, also known as boneknit, is known for speeding healing. So speedy that you want to be sure that whatever you put it on is cleaned well and not too deep as it can cause the surface to heal before the wound. Comfrey contains allantoin which helps with the production of new healthy skin cells.
Studies have shown comfrey is also effective against back pain and arthritis, providing relatively quick topical pain relief.
Comfrey should only be used externally.

All salves are made by me in my cozy MD kitchen.
As salves are made with temperature sensitive oils and waxes, melting is common in warmer temps. They'll solidify again when they cool down and are fine at room temp.
