I've always kept a journal.
When I have something I need to work through, that's where I turn. Friends will tell you that's my first piece of advice too - Journal about it!
It's not just me, either. Studies repeatedly show that journaling is good for your health - mental, physical, and emotional. Not just any journaling though, the physical act of hand across paper has even more benefits!
When I began journaling more deeply and
regularly - twice a day, every day - things fell
into place in ways I could have never imagined.
I get shit DONE!
Yeduri means from the wild in Amharic, the
primary language of Ethiopia.
Yeduri comes from creating tools to build strong
Roots to lead Joyful, Wild lives.
I craft Handbound Leather Journals, Zines, and
Herbal Goodies that I sell here and at local markets. Want me to come through? Send me an email after you read about the Market Experience below.
I lead workshops and plant experiences to return vital knowledge to folks and lead us to embrace the wild. Previous offerings have included Pawpaw Foraging, Backyard Apothecary, Putting up the Harvest, and
Steps Towards Sustainability.
As I never want cost to be a barrier, there are
always free or reduced cost options.
Contact me if you have any questions or are interested in having me come speak or lead a workshop!
Finally, I lead and organize Rituals that honor life's milestones and transitions and bring us closer to who we are. Reach out to me and we can discuss how we can plan something beautiful to honor new motherhood, menstruation, transitions, coming of age...

About...
Hi! I'm Yvonne.
I'm a maker. I love to make things. From gardens to salves to journals to people - I get great joy from the process of creation. I'm also a mother of three, wife of one, and friend to many.
I love to be outside - to hike, garden and camp - and am lucky to live in Maryland, America in Miniature, where I'm surrounded by abundance and get to witness all four seasons (although I have a strong preference to the warmer ones!).
I am on the land of the Piscataway People and seek to inform myself and others of the ways they thrived on this land while honoring that it was stolen from them.
At 41 I was diagnosed with and began treatment for ADHD. If you look at the symptoms of inattentive ADHD, especially in women, it's me in a tidy lil checklist. I also am a person that lives with chronic pain and a spicy brain.
All of that means I have a lifetime of coping mechanisms and built in scaffolding established to hold this rickety tower of awesome upright and functional.
Two big ones - my garden and my journal - bring us to Yeduri.
This is my space on the internet. Although we are interacting virtually it is my hope that you feel cozy and warm here and also understand that I am a fallible human. Come out to an event to meet me so I can prove it! In the meantime, head over the The Blog to learn more about me, Yeduri, and whatever's got me fired up.
We are all in this together.
Community is how we get through. Please comment. Please write me. Please connect and learn from each other and grow together. If something I've said has helped you, I wanna know! If there's something you think I should talk about or a topic you think I should cover, let me know!
I love Market Days!
I create a cozy and friendly lil spot at every market I go to. Everything in my space is secondhand, upcycled, or occasionally hand-made. You might hear my music or see the bubbles first but then you'll notice the scents of leather, whatever herbs I've brought along, and my salves. You might find me behind the table or on a pillow on the floor writing, if not running my mouth somewhere about plants. My space is created intentionally to encourage you to touch the journals, smell the salves, and ask questions about what you see or just chat about whatever's on your mind. If you see me and my yellow cheery yellow canopy, please stop by!!
