A fish pepper plant in my garden last summer.

Fish peppers are an heirloom pepper, originally grown by Black growers in the Mid-Atlantic region. They're variegated, with green and white stripes that ripen to red all over. They'd fallen out of circulattion until they were rediscovered in the 90s. Every year they're easier to find and more people are growing them which I LOVE!! I'm actually about to go start mine now!

Below is a video I took during the summer last year, talking about fish peppers, their history, and how to grow them.

Enjoy!

This month's journaling prompt:

In what areas of your life are you seeing new growth? Are there any places that are stagnant or covered in a thick layer of ice that needs to be melted away?
