IT'S FRIDAAAAAAAAAYYYY!!!!

Yay! I am so ready for the weekend and to spend some much-needed time at home, being weird with my dogs.

Every week on Wednesday I pull a card of the week. I either pull from one of my own decks or from a deck online. I learn about the card, journal with it, and focus on how I can apply it to my life for that week. This helps me learn Tarot and gain intimate knowledge of each card. Every Friday, I'll share about the card here to reinforce that knowledge.

Deck of the Week - The Housewives Tarot

This was my very first deck! It was perfect for that stage of my life, a SAHM deep in the babywearing/breastfeeding/cloth diapering stage! I love the kitschy look of this deck and the art on the cards. This one comes with a cute instruction book that takes the theme further and offers spreads along the same lines. These cards are nicely sized and the only of my decks that I can easily shuffle. The card descriptions and explanations offer guidance that's kinda tongue in cheek, but almost always leaves me searching for more information. I love this deck for its size and the memories; of camping with friends and reading everyone's cards that would let me.

Card of the Week - Knight of Pentacles

Knight of Pentacles from The Housewives Tarot

The Knight of Pentacles shows a young boy pushing a lawnmower. He is dressed well and appears happy at his work.

The Knight of Pentacles shows us that due diligence and hard work pay off. The Knight is dressed spiffy - he works hard and he buys nice things. His smile shows that he enjoys what he is doing. He is trustworthy and reliable - if he says the grass will be cut Wednesday he's got the processes in place Tuesday night to be there on time.

This card reminds us to show up when we say we're going to and to make sure the processes are in place to get things done. It often pops up to tell us we're on the right track and that our hard work will ultimately pay off. He's a good sign you're on the right track.

Journaling Prompts

Q - What processes do you have in place to meet your goals? Are they working? How can they be improved? (psst...I got a journal for that...)

Q - What makes you feel secure?

Q - When was a time hard work paid off?

Q - What Habits and Rituals do you have in your day? What should you incorporate? (...again...that journal...)

Hope you have an amazing and restful weekend!
